Tokyo Disneyland in Japan kicked off Disney Pal-Palooza “Vanellope’s Sweets Pop World” on April 9, 2026.

The event stars Vanellope from Disney’s “Wreck-It Ralph” and is themed around her cute candy-world imagination. As you’d expect, the park food lineup is packed with cute, tasty event-exclusive items.

In this post, we’re reviewing one of the headline event items: the Special Donut (Lemon).

At ¥450, the Special Donut is comfortably under the ¥500 mark, making it an easy grab-and-go item.

It’s available at three different shops inside Tokyo Disneyland — and since each one is in a different area of the park, finding one is easy. One thing to keep in mind: none of these locations stay open until park close. They tend to wrap up earlier in the evening, so plan accordingly.

It’s available throughout the entire “Vanellope’s Sweets Pop World” run — through June 30, 2026.

Special Donut (Lemon) — close-up

The Special Donut is a lemon-flavored, old-fashioned-style donut coated in chocolate.

The chocolate isn’t lemon-flavored — it’s regular chocolate (most likely tinted white chocolate).

The donut itself is a moist old-fashioned with a clear, refreshing lemon flavor — really tasty. There’s no lemon peel mixed in, so even if you’re not a fan of peel, you’ll find it easy to enjoy.

Sweetness-wise, the donut itself is on the milder side, while the chocolate-coated section is noticeably sweeter. The plain donut bits with just lemon are bright and refreshing, so the overall balance is nicely calibrated.

One small detail: the chocolate ribbon on top isn’t placed and stuck on — it’s actually pressed and set into the base chocolate coating, so you can’t lift it off cleanly. (My daughter tried to peel just the ribbon off and it didn’t go well.)

Volume-wise, since it’s an old-fashioned donut, it’s pretty filling. Perfect as a snack or a quick pick-me-up when you’re slightly hungry.

One last detail to look out for: the wrapper is adorable. It features Mickey and friends in their event costumes, and it’s so cute you’ll feel guilty throwing it away. The same wrapper is used across the other event-exclusive items as well.

I rated the overall score 4 out of 5 — typical for the park food I review.

Price-wise, you get a genuinely filling snack for under ¥500, so the value for money is excellent. Bonus points for being easy to eat with one hand. Flavor-wise, it’s not over-the-top in any direction — just well-balanced and easy to enjoy. It’s a great pick across all ages, from young kids to grandparents.

On the Disney factor, the only real Disney touch is the wrapper itself — but the donut perfectly fits the concept of Vanellope’s Sweets Pop World. The mint green and pink color combo even matches Vanellope’s signature palette, which is a nice detail.

Final Thoughts

So that was a look at the Special Donut (Lemon) — one of the event-exclusive menu items at Disney Pal-Palooza “Vanellope’s Sweets Pop World.”

A refreshing lemon donut paired with sweet chocolate — the balance between brightness and sweetness makes for a really tasty bite.

At under ¥500, it’s an easy item to recommend to anyone visiting the park. The Special Donut is on sale through June 30, 2026 — if you’re heading to Tokyo Disneyland during the event window, definitely grab one!
