Starting April 15, 2026, Tokyo DisneySea in Japan is celebrating its 25th Anniversary with “Sparkling Jubilee.” The event is packed with photo spots and decorations everywhere you look — the kind of scale that reminds you this really is an anniversary celebration!

In this guide, we’ll take a thorough look at every limited-time photo spot and decoration featured during the Sparkling Jubilee celebration.

The photo spots and decorations for the Sparkling Jubilee are scheduled to stay up for the full event run, from April 15, 2026 through March 31, 2027. Dedicated photo spots for commemorative shots are set up across five areas, starting with Mediterranean Harbor. On top of that, every area in the park has its own 25th Anniversary banner designed to match that area’s theme.

Simply making your way around to see all the photo spots and banners takes you through the entire park, so it doubles as a fun little scavenger hunt. From here, we’ll cover the photo spots and the event-exclusive banners separately.

Photo Spot Map

Let’s start with the photo spots. There are eight in total, spread across five areas: Mediterranean Harbor, American Waterfront, Mermaid Lagoon, Arabian Coast, and Lost River Delta.

Most of the main photo spots are clustered along the entrance-to-Mediterranean-Harbor route that every guest walks through, while each of the other four areas gets just one spot.

The other photo spots are all lovely too, but these three are especially worth prioritizing — they feature characters, match the mood of their area, and are decorated with the extra flair you’d expect from a 25th Anniversary celebration.

From here, let’s go through each photo spot in detail.

① Mickey & Minnie Monument / Aquasphere Plaza

The first thing you’ll see after entering Tokyo DisneySea is the giant globe known as the Aquasphere. Between the Aquasphere and Tokyo DisneySea Station on the Disney Resort Line, you’ll find a Mickey & Minnie monument. The two of them, dressed in their 25th Anniversary outfits and holding hands, are absolutely adorable!

Shooting straight-on gets the whole monument in frame, but Mickey and Minnie end up in profile. Try shooting from a slight angle instead — that way you’ll catch both of their expressions, which we’d also recommend.

This monument is also worth seeing lit up at night — it glows entirely in Jubilee Blue, giving the whole scene an extra dose of 25th Anniversary sparkle.

② Event Banner / Aquasphere Plaza

You’ll always find a hanging banner like this during any park event. The 25th Anniversary version features a large “25” logo flanked by Mickey and Minnie silhouettes, topped with a sparkling ornament that makes the whole thing feel gorgeous.

This one lights up at night too, so it’s worth a look after dark as well.

③ Event Banner / Above the Passage Beneath Hotel MiraCosta

There’s also a decoration in the passage beneath Hotel MiraCosta, which connects the entrance to Mediterranean Harbor. This one stays lit even during the day, glowing in Jubilee Blue. The center decoration features Mickey and Minnie’s silhouettes.

④ Showcase (Mickey & Minnie) / Emporio

In the showcase window at Emporio — the shop along the passage from Aquasphere Plaza into Mediterranean Harbor — you’ll find Mickey and Minnie holding hands, dressed in their 25th Anniversary outfits.

Since this spot is covered, you can shoot here regardless of the weather, which is a nice bonus. That said, because it’s a glass showcase, reflections can sometimes make getting a clean shot tricky.

It tends to get crowded right after opening and just before closing, so we’d recommend shooting during the middle of the day.

⑤ Wagon Photo Spot / American Waterfront

Across from Restaurant Sakura in American Waterfront, there’s a wagon selling 25th Anniversary special menu items — and it doubles as a photo spot.

The spot is filled with blue-toned flowers, and plenty of guests were taking photos here with the special food they’d just picked up from the wagon next door.

⑥ Photo Spot / Mermaid Lagoon

Mermaid Lagoon has a photo spot of its own too. It’s not on the path in front of King Triton’s Castle, but rather on the outer walkway connecting Mysterious Island to Arabian Coast.

The design evokes waves and water, fitting for Mermaid Lagoon, and the soft blue-and-pink color palette makes for an especially cute photo spot. It’s popular with young women in particular, and there was a line forming when we visited.

Since there aren’t any attractions along this route, most guests stick to the path in front of King Triton’s Castle instead, which means this spot can be easy to miss. Still, it’s well worth tracking down.

⑦ Genie Monument / Arabian Coast

Right in the middle of the palace area in Arabian Coast, you’ll find a Genie photo spot. At set times, 25th Anniversary music plays here, so it’s worth pausing to take it in. It also lights up beautifully at night.

⑧ 25th Anniversary Logo / Lost River Delta

On the wall of Miguel’s El Dorado Cantina in Lost River Delta, you’ll find a photo spot painted with the “25” and “Sparkling Jubilee” logos.

The hand-painted look fits right in with Lost River Delta’s rustic atmosphere.

It sits just off to the side of the walkway, so it’s easy to walk past — a bit of a hidden-gem spot.

Banner Map for Each Area

Next, let’s look at the banners exclusive to the 25th Anniversary event. Every area has its own banners, and since each one is tailored to match its area’s atmosphere, the illustrations, backgrounds, and color schemes are all different.

There are 12 designs in total, and Port Discovery and Lost River Delta each have two or three different banner styles.

We have four favorite banner locations. First, the Mediterranean Harbor banner — the flagship design of this whole event — is an absolute must-see. The other three stand out with designs that feel distinct from the rest of the park, so they’re worth seeking out as you make your way around.

Banner Details & Highlights by Area

A) Aquasphere Plaza

Right after the entrance, in Aquasphere Plaza where the Aquasphere sits, you’ll find banners featuring silhouettes of Mickey & Friends. They’re done in Jubilee Blue, with “Sparkling Jubilee” lettering on either side, and the patterning around the characters is lovely too.

B) Mediterranean Harbor

The Mediterranean Harbor banners share the same illustrations and background pattern as the ones in Aquasphere Plaza, but the shape is different, and they feature an extra decoration on top.

That top decoration seems meant to evoke sunlight sparkling on the harbor’s water — it looked gorgeous.

These banners also have a “25” printed right next to the characters, making them a perfect backdrop for a 25th Anniversary commemorative photo!

C) American Waterfront (Cape Cod)

The Cape Cod area of American Waterfront has three banner designs: Mickey, Minnie, and a “25” logo version. All three are decorated with rope, ship’s wheels, and anchors — fitting touches for Cape Cod.

These banners are done in a light-blue tone that pairs nicely with the white columns they’re hung on — a genuinely cute touch.

D) Port Discovery / Main Street

These banners line the Disney Electric Railway tracks along Port Discovery’s main street.

The design uses the same teal tone that stands out around Aquatopia, set against a rounded background. Overall, the banners give off a ship’s-mast kind of impression.

E) Port Discovery / In Front of Horizon Bay Restaurant

On the bridge leading to the entrance of Horizon Bay Restaurant in Port Discovery, you’ll find square-shaped banners. Unlike the “D” banners, which sit a bit out of reach, these ones can be viewed up close in detail.

F) Port Discovery / Passage Toward Cape Cod

There’s yet another set of banners along the passage from Port Discovery toward Cape Cod. These are mounted on plates rather than fabric, so you can get a clean shot even on a windy day.

These banners also carry the “Sparkling Jubilee” lettering off to the side, a nice reminder of what the anniversary is all about.

G) Mysterious Island

The Mysterious Island banners are mounted on three fence sections around the volcano crater. The deep blue and reddish-purple tones feel right at home in Mysterious Island, and the background pattern even includes shapes reminiscent of the crystals from Journey to the Center of the Earth.

H) Mermaid Lagoon

The Mermaid Lagoon banners are completely different from the rest of the park — they actually feature characters from Disney’s The Little Mermaid.

The color palette is soft and pastel, true to Mermaid Lagoon’s style, with a sparkling decoration on top that makes the whole thing feel extra charming. There are seven designs in total, and some characters only appear in a single location, so it’s worth wandering the area to track down every one.

I) Arabian Coast

Like Mermaid Lagoon, the Arabian Coast banners break from the rest of the park’s style, featuring characters from Disney’s Aladdin.

The pattern is styled after a Persian carpet, giving it an elegant look. Around the characters there are lovely floral illustrations — jasmine flowers, perhaps, fitting given the princess’s name. At the bottom, tassels echo the ones on the Magic Carpet, tying the whole design back to the movie and the area.

J) Lost River Delta / In Front of Miguel’s El Dorado Cantina

Slender banners hang from the columns along the passage in front of Miguel’s El Dorado Cantina in Lost River Delta.

As in other areas, these show Mickey & Friends in profile, but instead of plain silhouettes, the Lost River Delta illustrations have an ancient-mural kind of texture. This is the only area where the characters’ faces are actually drawn in, and every one of them comes out looking wonderfully charming.

Since these are sized to fit the columns, they’re on the small side. If you’re after a photo, we’d instead recommend the banner on the bridge called Puente Buena Vista, which we’ll cover next.

K) Lost River Delta / Puente Buena Vista

There’s also a banner on the bridge called Puente Buena Vista, on the Arabian Coast side of Lost River Delta.

It uses the same illustration as the banner in front of Miguel’s El Dorado Cantina, but the background here leans into a more folkloric design.

Since this banner is noticeably larger, it’s a great pick if you’re looking to get a good photo.

L) Fantasy Springs

The Fantasy Springs banners keep things simple, showing only the “25” logo. They’re also only placed in front of the area’s entrance, with none inside Fantasy Springs itself — likely a deliberate choice to preserve the area’s own immersive theming.

A handful of banners are set up near the entrance, and our favorite is the one near the rockwork — as shown in the photo, you can frame your shot with the rock formations in the background.
