From March 5 to March 24, 2025, Ginza Mitsukoshi hosted “Disney THE MARKET 2025.” For Disney fans, this is an event you can’t miss. As always, it was packed with adorable items.
In this article, I’ll introduce the items I actually purchased at Disney THE MARKET 2025!
What Is Disney THE MARKET?
Disney THE MARKET is a large-scale shopping event that gathers character merchandise from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and more. Because it travels to venues all over Japan, even fans far from the parks can enjoy it, making it a must-attend event for Disney lovers nationwide. Among fans it is also known by the nickname “D-Make.”

The goods sold at this event include items already available on the market, along with pre-release exclusives from certain brands and manufacturers, plus items that are limited to Disney THE MARKET. There’s plenty here that you can only get at this event.
Disney THE MARKET 2025 Haul Highlights!
The first Disney THE MARKET 2025 of the year kicked off at Ginza Mitsukoshi on March 5, 2025. This time the theme was “Magic Hour,” and the venue was filled with cute Fantasia-themed goods in gorgeous gradient colors.
From here on, I’ll walk you through the items I actually bought. Looking back, every single one of my purchases this time was a Disney THE MARKET exclusive — items you can only get at this event. I also tried a few “blind” series products where you don’t know what you’ll get, so I’ll share what I unboxed too!

[Ginza Mitsukoshi Exclusive] Ginza Tenugui Towel
The first item I’d like to introduce is the “Ginza Tenugui” hand towel. Because it’s exclusive to the Ginza Mitsukoshi venue, the rarity factor is high. The design features Mickey in the center, with the word “Ginza” (in Japanese hiragana) circling around him.

This indescribably charming design just hit me the right way, so I had to buy it. The same design was also available as a tote bag and keychain, but in our household a tenugui is a summer-park essential, so I went with this one.

Fantasia <Navy> Embroidered Drawstring Pouch
Next up is the Fantasia drawstring pouch. The fabric has a subtle metallic shimmer, Mickey is embroidered, and the stars are studded — it has a really premium feel. Unlike the drawstring pouches typically sold in the parks, this one has a proper gusset for extra capacity. The interior is lined with gold fabric, which adds to the luxe vibe. The cord is a thick twisted style reminiscent of Mickey’s sorcerer-apprentice belt. Between the colorway and the design, this is a dream item for Fantasia fans.

Card Case
This card case features the event’s main aurora design. The same model also came in a Walt Disney sketched portrait version and in Fantasia-inspired navy and red colorways, but I was drawn to the colorful aurora design and picked this one. I bought it for carrying around the cards I use most often.

Fantasia Blind Eco Bag (4 Designs)
The first of the famous Disney THE MARKET “blind” items I tried was an eco bag. It’s a compact eco bag, but there’s one thing that sets it apart from a regular one — the wide gusset! It’s perfect for carrying flat items you don’t want to tilt, like a bento. Ever taken a bento home in a regular eco bag only to find it tipped sideways with all the side dishes shoved to one corner? I have, more than once, and it always stressed me out. So as soon as I saw this one, I knew it was a buy.
There are four designs, and I was hoping for the aurora version. But all of them are cute, so I figured I’d be happy with whatever I got. The result was… the blue design. It’s simple and not too flashy, which means it’ll be easy to use — I was completely happy with it.

The front and back have different designs, and characters from Fantasia are scattered all over — really adorable.

Shoelace Collection
The second “blind” item I picked up was the Shoelace Collection. As the name suggests, each pack contains a pair of shoelaces. Disney-themed shoelaces feel like a “why hasn’t this existed before now?” kind of item, so I jumped on it right away.
I would have been fine with any design, but the one I was hoping for was the blue. Since I almost never win these things, I had my husband pick for me. The result… red (lol).

The red pair has different designs on the front and back — Mickey on one side, the iconic broom pattern on the other. Honestly, it’s super cute and looks easy to use, so I’m thrilled with it.

[Plus Anq] Handkerchiefs
The item I was most glad to have picked up at this event was a handkerchief from Plus Anq, released as a Disney THE MARKET exclusive. What really caught my attention was the lineup — they featured designs from films you rarely see merchandise for, including “Encanto,” “Coco,” “Turning Red,” and “Hercules.” Combined with the event-only exclusivity, these were almost impossible to resist.
This time I picked up designs from two of my favorite movies, “Lady and the Tramp” and “Coco”! I would have grabbed an Encanto one too, but unfortunately they were sold out. As a bonus, the handkerchiefs are made in Japan!
Lady and the Tramp
I went back and forth between the Lady and the Tramp handkerchief and a drawstring pouch, but the background pattern and color palette on the handkerchief won me over. It features the iconic pasta-sharing scene and a side-by-side illustration of Lady and Tramp — so charming. The slightly hand-drawn, sketch-like illustration style is lovely too.

Coco
I’m a huge “Coco” fan, and this handkerchief was love at first sight — instant buy. I couldn’t leave without it; it’s just too cute! Colorful Mexican-inspired patterns frame the characters, and the design incorporates the marigold flowers that play such an important role in the film. It feels distinctly Coco.

Buyers Can Score Bonus Gifts, Too!
At this event, shoppers can also receive special freebies. Pay with a Disney JCB Card for purchases of 11,000 yen or more, and the first 1,200 customers each day get a Mickey keychain as a gift.

At the Ginza Mitsukoshi venue specifically, MI Card holders can also get a matching-design Minnie keychain on a first-come basis with the same 11,000-yen minimum purchase.
Final Thoughts
What did you think? The items in this article are just a small slice of what’s on offer, but I hope you spotted something that caught your eye. Disney THE MARKET 2025 will continue traveling around Japan, so if it stops by a venue near you, I hope this haul gives you a head start on building your own wish list. Happy shopping!
