Tokyo Disney Resort offers a wealth of charming souvenir sweets. During limited-time events like Halloween and Christmas in particular, many event-themed designs and flavors hit the shelves. When something can only be bought during an event, it’s hard not to reach for it!

I’ll cover everything from how it compares to the park-food churros to its evaluation as a souvenir — please read on!

Product Overview — Churro Snack (Maple Pumpkin Flavor)

Overview of the Churro Snack (Maple Pumpkin Flavor)

Product Name: Churro Snack (Maple Pumpkin Flavor)
Price: 1,100 yen
Quantity: standard 16 sticks (59g)
Price per stick: approx. 69 yen
Size: approx. 10cm wide, 9cm deep, 23cm tall
Packaging: (outer) paper box, (inner) individually wrapped
Best-before: approx. 3 months from purchase
*Best-before date may vary by purchase timing — this is just a reference

The Halloween-exclusive Churro Snack comes in Maple Pumpkin flavor — a souvenir version of the Halloween special menu Maple Pumpkin Churro served in the park. Maple plus pumpkin: a flavor that really evokes Halloween and autumn.

The box is made of thick, cardboard-like material in a hexagonal shape, so it’s sturdy and resistant to crushing. There’s little worry about the box getting flattened and the churro snacks crumbling inside.

Each snack inside is individually wrapped, making it ideal as a souvenir to distribute one by one.

At 1,100 yen, it’s a bit pricier than the regularly sold Churro Snack (Crème Brûlée Flavor) at 1,000 yen. For reference, last year’s (2024) Christmas-exclusive Churro Snack (Chocolate Flavor) was 1,000 yen, but the 2025 version has been announced at 1,100 yen — so it may simply be a straightforward price increase… (For reference, the 2023 version was 900 yen.)

The Christmas-exclusive Churro Snack (Chocolate Flavor) is covered in the article below, so if you’re planning a Christmas park visit, please check it out as well.

Detailed Report — Churro Snack (Maple Pumpkin Flavor)

A cute package you can enjoy from all 360 degrees

Some of you may already know Churro Snack for its playful packaging. To match the park-food churros, the box is designed so the “churro” part and the “wrapping paper” part separate.

The wrapping paper section is themed for the event — this time Mickey, Minnie, and Chip ‘n’ Dale appear dressed up as Dracula, a witch, and bats.

A package that’s fun to look at from any angle — it’s a nice touch!

Look closely and you’ll notice the “churro” portion is colored maple-pumpkin orange to match the park-food churros. A high level of recreation!

Halloween-themed individual wrapping, perfect for souvenirs

Next, the individual wrapping design. Each wrapper features the same Mickey and Minnie designs as the package, split half and half. Unlike the box, the characters are drawn full-body — a nice touch!

Each wrapper has the illustration plus the words “Disney HALLOWEEN,” so recipients can tell at a glance when and where you visited — making this a great pick for distributing to coworkers or classmates.

Real Taste Review: The maple aroma is outstanding!

From here on, my actual taste review. The very first thing anyone notices when opening the package is “a wonderful maple aroma!” The sweet, inviting scent wafts out and whets the appetite.

The texture is about the same as the regular Churro Snack — a firm, crunchy bite. As for flavor, maple is more pronounced than pumpkin, but the maple flavor isn’t quite as intense as the aroma you get when first opening the package. In a good way, it’s an approachable flavor that anyone can enjoy.

The surface is faintly sweet, and the more you chew, the more you taste that signature snack-like savory toastiness.

How it differs from the park-food churros

The clearest difference between the park churros and the Churro Snack is texture. The park-food churros are crispy on the outside and chewy inside, while the Churro Snack is firm and crunchy throughout.

The flavor is well recreated, but the Churro Snack felt slightly lighter on pumpkin. The park-food churro is a pumpkin churro topped with maple sugar, so you can taste maple and pumpkin distinctly. The Churro Snack, by contrast, blends them into a unified flavor — which I think accounts for the difference.

About the manufacturer

The manufacturer is Sanshu Seika Co., Ltd. — a company that produces rice crackers and pasta snacks. All Churro Snacks sold in the park are made by this company.

Overall Rating — Churro Snack (Maple Pumpkin Flavor)

CategoryRating
Value for money3.5
Ease of distribution4.5

Value for money

The flavor is solid and the texture is satisfying, so even one piece is reasonably filling — value for money isn’t bad. But since Churro Snack as a product has seen a 200-yen price hike compared to before, I factored that in and rated it 3.5.

Ease of distribution

It’s individually wrapped, and a single box contains plenty of pieces — perfect for handing out as souvenirs. The cute packaging also makes it instantly recognizable as a Disney Resort Halloween souvenir. With both Mickey and Minnie designs in the individual wrappers, mixing the two for recipients is a nice touch too.

Taste

Recommended for fans of maple syrup! The aroma is fantastic and it’s not overly sweet, so a wide range of people can enjoy it. Personally though, I felt the chocolate-flavor Churro Snack sold at Christmas was tastier, so I rated this 3.5.

Disney feel

The biggest point is that both the flavor and appearance recreate the park churros with a high level of accuracy. For those who’ve eaten the Maple Pumpkin Churro at the park, it brings back park memories; for those who haven’t, it’s a shareable taste of that fun.

“Disney was so much fun” — “I want to go to Disney” — this is the kind of souvenir snack that makes you feel that way, so I gave it a 5!
