I rode the Disney Resort Line’s limited-time train, the “Duffy & Friends Liner”!
The Disney Resort Line usually stars Mickey, but the Duffy & Friends Liner is a special-edition train where Duffy & Friends take center stage!
This is a write-up on the ridiculously cute train that any Duffy & Friends fan won’t want to miss!
Duffy & Friends Liner Overview

The exterior has illustrations of Duffy and the gang painted on the front and back of the usual train cars, so you can spot the Duffy & Friends Liner instantly.
Inside, each car is themed after a different character: Duffy, ShellieMay, Gelatoni, StellaLou, and CookieAnn.
I’ll go through the interior of each car below!
Adorable interiors! Each car is packed with character personality!
The highlight of the Duffy & Friends Liner is the car design — each one bursting with its character’s personality!

- Fluffy seat fabric that feels like being wrapped up in Duffy and friends
- Hand straps so cute you’ll want to take one home
- Windows packed with each character’s personality
Now let me walk through each character’s car!
Duffy
Duffy’s car has illustrations of ropes, anchors, and seagulls, giving it a nautical look.
This nods to Duffy’s origin story — Minnie gave him to Mickey so he wouldn’t feel lonely on long voyages at sea.
The seat and wallpaper are of course in Duffy’s signature beige!
ShellieMay
ShellieMay’s car is decorated with seashell illustrations, a nod to the origin of her name. The wallpaper is pink and the seats are pink-beige — overall it’s a girly, irresistibly cute interior.
And the hand straps of course feature ShellieMay’s signature ribbon!
Gelatoni
As you’d expect from an artist, Gelatoni’s car features paintbrushes and paint!
There are also illustrations of gelato — the very thing that sparked his friendship with Duffy!
The car color is, naturally, Gelatoni’s signature mint green!
You can’t tell from the front, but look at the hand strap from behind and you’ll see Gelatoni is wearing his beret too.
StellaLou
StellaLou’s car is sprinkled with stars, stars, and more stars!
You’ll also spot ballet shoes — fitting for StellaLou, whose dream is to become a dancer!
“Why stars?” Look back at StellaLou’s story and it clicks — Duffy tells her, while she’s dancing, that “you shine like a star.” That’s where the motif comes from. The car’s overall color is, of course, StellaLou’s signature purple!
The hand straps faithfully recreate StellaLou’s trademark flower hair accessory on both the front and back!
CookieAnn
CookieAnn loves to cook, so her car is decorated with whipped cream and cake illustrations. The overall color scheme leans into yellows and oranges!
The hand straps faithfully recreate CookieAnn too, complete with chef’s hat and ribbon! So cute!
Overall impressions
Most of the time, people ride the Disney Resort Line as a way to move around the parks.
But for the Duffy & Friends Liner, I’d recommend grabbing an unlimited pass and really taking your time to enjoy it!
That’s because every detail is so adorable and each car has a different design — one loop around the resort just isn’t enough time to take it all in!
When I rode it, by the time I’d been through every car I’d already gone a lap and a half around the resort (lol).
It’s an incredibly cute monorail, so be sure to give it a ride!
