Picking out souvenirs is one of the joys of a visit to Tokyo Disney Resort! With so many to choose from, it can be hard to decide what to take home!
In this article, I’d like to introduce a truly delicious Biscuit Chocolate Sandwich made by that famous confectionery shop.

Highlights
The biggest highlight of this snack is the manufacturer!
The box lists “Nakamuraya Co., Ltd.”—which is actually the famous “Shinjuku Nakamuraya”!
According to the Nakamuraya website, they run a shop called Tokyo Chocolaterie, and the “Funwari Chocolat” item sold there appears to be the same product as this one.
Appearance
This features the rare Oswald design, which is hard to find elsewhere in the park!
Since the Oswald short film series dates back to 1927, the design has an American retro feel.
It’s just a paper box, but the illustrations cover not only the top but the sides and inside as well, making it almost too cute to throw away!
Each individual wrapper also features an Oswald illustration, so even when handed out one by one the design makes it instantly recognizable as a Disney souvenir.
The wrappers themselves have a matte finish that gives them a premium feel.

Value for Money
As noted in the product overview, the price per piece comes out to 180 yen.
Compared to other snacks sold in the parks, this puts it in the slightly pricier category.
For reference, Tokyo Chocolaterie’s “Funwari Chocolat” sells for 602 yen for a 5-pack, which works out to a bit over 120 yen per piece.
I can’t say for certain whether the size is identical, but the Disney version costs roughly 60 yen more per piece, or about 300 yen more for the whole box. That’s about 1.5x the price.
It’s reasonable to think of the extra cost as the price you pay for the Disney-specific, intricately designed cute packaging.
Ease of Distribution
The quantity isn’t large, so rather than a souvenir to hand out widely, this is more suited to keeping for yourself or giving to close friends. It isn’t terribly expensive either, so handing over a whole box to someone special as a gift is also a fine choice.
Tastiness
A light, airy biscuit is sandwiched around rich, soft chocolate—genuinely addictive! There’s a gentle hint of orange peel as well, lending it a slightly grown-up flavor.
It’s on the sweeter side, so it pairs wonderfully with coffee or black tea!
For kids, I think it would taste great alongside a glass of milk!
Disney-ness
Oswald designs aren’t easy to find inside the park, and there are probably only one or two snacks featuring him, so on that front the Disney-ness is high!
However, since the snack itself can be purchased outside Disney, I’ve given this a 3.
