Tokyo DisneySea “Disney Halloween” — Photo Spot Map
This year’s “Disney Halloween” photo spots at Tokyo DisneySea are concentrated mainly in Mediterranean Harbor and American Waterfront.
For Mediterranean Harbor, the decorations along the main walkway from the entrance to the harbor are hard to miss since everyone passes through there. But the ones tucked away on side paths and along the Venetian side near Hotel MiraCosta get much less foot traffic, so they’re easy to overlook.
Every photo spot is designed to blend in with the atmosphere of its area, making for a beautifully stylish lineup overall.

Tokyo DisneySea “Disney Halloween” — Photo Spots in Detail
1. Entrance: Banner
This is the entrance banner that goes up for every event. Since the decoration is always there, many guests stop to capture it on camera. The columns on either side display props with silhouettes of Mickey and Minnie.

2. Entrance (Hotel MiraCosta Passageway): Character Jack-O’-Lanterns
The passageway under Hotel MiraCosta, which leads from the entrance into Mediterranean Harbor, is decorated with jack-o’-lanterns shaped after Mickey & Friends. They’re absolutely adorable — Halloween decor at its cutest!
Some character designs are displayed in two different places, so even on busy days you should be able to grab a photo without too much trouble. Why not stop and snap one with your favorite character?

3. Mediterranean Harbor: Mickey & Minnie Murals
On the small path that runs from the Mickey Plaza area of Mediterranean Harbor over to the gondola-lined Venetian side, you’ll find murals of Mickey and Minnie alongside spooky Halloween monuments.
The costumes drawn here are different from the ones the characters wear during Halloween greetings — you can only see this design at this spot. Maybe Mickey and Minnie were originally going to appear in these outfits…

4. Mediterranean Harbor (Venetian Side): Mirror
Over on the Venetian side of Mediterranean Harbor, a drinking fountain has been turned into a mirror photo spot. Guests were lining up to snap photos of their reflections.
There are mirrors on both sides, so it’s relatively easy to get a shot even when crowded. The Venetian side doesn’t get a lot of foot traffic, so with good timing you can take a clean photo with no one else in frame.

5. Mediterranean Harbor (Venetian Side): Logo Mural Beneath the Stairs
On the route from Mediterranean Harbor toward Toy Story Mania!, at the foot of the staircase that leads down to the Venetian Gondolas, there’s a mural with “Disney Halloween” painted in large lettering.
It sits at about average shoulder height, which makes it our top pick for a Halloween-event souvenir photo.
This is another low-traffic area, so the wait to take a photo is usually pretty short!

6. American Waterfront: Pumpkins Carved with Characters
Next to the BIG CITY VEHICLES boarding area in American Waterfront, there’s a photo spot piled high with pumpkins. The one right on top is shaped like Mickey.
Look closely at the pumpkins and you’ll see faces of Mickey & Friends carved into them. Different characters face in different directions, so you get a different photo from every angle — a full 360 degrees of options.
It’s also a nice touch that the word “HALLOWEEN” appears in the shot no matter which side you photograph from.

7. American Waterfront: Signs Under the Elevated Tracks
Below the Disney Electric Railway tracks — running from the restaurant “Sakura” in American Waterfront to the area in front of Steamboat Mickey’s — Halloween-themed signs blend right into the streetscape.
There are four sign designs in all: “Mickey & Minnie,” “Donald & Daisy,” “Horace,” and “Pluto & Clarabelle.” Every illustration has that classic, cute Halloween feel!
Look closely and you’ll notice the backgrounds feature the S.S. Columbia and the Tower of Terror — a nice touch that ties the signs firmly to American Waterfront.
