Hyperion Lounge: Donald’s Cake Set Starring Peach (Pal-Palooza 2025 Second Half)

At Hyperion Lounge in the Disney Ambassador Hotel, a “Limited-Time Cake Set” is offered to match each season and event.

From April 1 to June 30, 2025, a limited-time cake set was offered to tie in with the event currently held at Tokyo Disneyland, Disney Pal-Palooza “Donald’s Quacky Duck! Duck! Duck City!”

The limited-time cake set is split into a first and second half — this time I’m featuring the second-half cake set! The first-half cake set is no longer available, but I covered it in a separate article below.

The first-half cake had a cute design, but this time the cake has an even more distinctly Donald look — and it’s just as adorable. This time, it also features peaches in keeping with the season. With that, let’s get into the details.

This time’s limited cake set is themed around the event currently held at Tokyo Disneyland, Disney Pal-Palooza “Donald’s Quacky Duck! Duck! Duck City!”, and the cake has a Donald design.

The cake is sphere-shaped and made of peach mousse. With yellow and blue — Donald’s signature colors — it’s an adorable design. On top, you’ll find Donald and Pete. And just below, the fervent Donald fans known as the “Quacky Ducks” make an appearance.

Thinking about it, the first-half cake was designed as if Donald had jumped out of a comic book. This time, Donald is being held aloft by Pete and cheered on by the Quacky Ducks — so it almost feels like the story is progressing from the first half into the second half! (As a side note — I ended up taking the photos at exactly the same angle, haha.)

Closer Look at the Disney Pal-Palooza “Donald’s Quacky Duck! Duck! Duck City!” Cake Set (Second Half)

From here, let me walk through the cake in more detail.

As mentioned earlier, the spherical part is peach mousse, with a lemon-flavored soufflé cheesecake underneath. The blue part on top is jelly, and a star-shaped chocolate sits on top of that. The Quacky Ducks in front are cookies, while Donald, Pete, and the lettering are made of sugar candy — meaning you can eat them too.

Next, a look at the cross-section. Between the peach mousse and the blue jelly sits a layer of peach jelly. And inside the peach mousse itself, you’ll find plenty of peach fruit pieces. The peaches are likely a peach compote.

Tasting Notes

Now for my impressions after actually trying it. If I had to sum this cake up in one phrase, it’d be: “a refreshing cake that brings summer to mind!” With peach — a quintessential summer fruit — as the star, you can imagine it would be light, and indeed the sweetness is dialed back to let the peach itself shine. It ended up even more refreshing than I’d expected. The temperatures aren’t really hot yet, but this is the kind of cake you’d love to eat on a sweltering day — one that immediately makes you think of summer.

A Cake That Lets You Savor Peach to the Fullest

Peach shows up in the jelly on top, in the mousse, and in the fruit pieces inside — and the strongest peach flavor is in the jelly, followed by the fruit pieces, and then the mousse. So I recommend eating them all together. The mousse is so soft it practically melts the moment it hits your tongue — light and delicious. The peach jelly doesn’t have much of that bouncy gel feel either; it has a texture closer to grated peach, soft enough to blend right into the mousse as you eat them together. The fruit pieces, on the other hand, are diced into small cubes that give a clear bite, so eating everything together lets you enjoy the contrast in textures too. The flavor is just “peach!” — no unnecessary sweetness piled on, just clean, refreshing, true-to-the-fruit taste. If you love peach, you absolutely have to try this.

Next, the lemon-flavored soufflé cheesecake at the base. Despite being labeled “lemon-flavored,” the citrus is subtle — just enough not to interfere with the peach. The soufflé cake has a softness fairly close to a sponge cake. The cheese character isn’t very pronounced, so I think even those who aren’t fans of cheese should have no trouble enjoying it. It’s tasty on its own, but it’s best when eaten together with the mousse.

Two Accents That Make the Cake Even Better

The cookies and fruit served alongside the cake — supporting players though they may be — do a great job of adding two key accents.

First, the cookies. They’re thin and have a crisp snap, so eating one between bites of the soft mousse or cake adds a welcome textural accent. That firm crunch also boosts the sense of satisfaction after the meal.

Then there’s the fruit: strawberry and raspberry, both of which contribute a solid tartness. Peach — the star of this cake — is a fairly mild fruit, so the occasional tartness from these berries adds welcome variation to the overall flavor. Because it’s acidity rather than sweetness, it doesn’t get in the way of the refreshing feel — the whole composition is very nicely balanced.

Wrap-Up

What did you think? In this article I introduced the Disney Pal-Palooza “Donald’s Quacky Duck! Duck! Duck City!” Cake Set (Second Half) served at Hyperion Lounge in the Disney Ambassador Hotel. The design is of course adorable, but more than that, it’s a wonderfully refreshing, summer-evoking cake. With peach used so generously, it’s a piece I’d especially recommend to peach lovers. If you’re curious, by all means head over and give it a try.
