At Tokyo DisneySea, the event “Duffy & Friends: Wonderful Kitchen” has been running since January 15, 2025. At Miguel’s El Dorado Cantina in Lost River Delta, a special menu tied to the event is being served.
In this review, I’ll cover one of those special menu items: the “Duffy Special Set (Beef).”
By the way, I’ve also reviewed the other special set (Seafood) — if you’re interested, please take a look as well.

Duffy Special Set (Beef) — Detailed Review
Salad
The salad has a Mexican flavor profile that matches the restaurant’s atmosphere. It comes with chicken tossed in Cobb salad dressing. The vegetables — lettuce, tomato, corn, and broccoli — are fresh, and the spicy dressing clings to them nicely, working up your appetite. It’s refreshing, making it perfect as a palate-cleansing side before or between bites of the beef keema stew rice.

Corn Chowder
The corn chowder is the same one served at other restaurants throughout Tokyo Disney Resort. It’s loaded with corn and vegetables, and you can really feel the texture of the kernels. The soup itself has a subtle corn sweetness and a creamy finish from what seems to be a generous amount of milk. Eaten together with the corn kernels, the corn flavor really comes through. It’s a perfect dish for a cold day.
Beef Keema Stew with Rice
Next up is the beef keema stew with rice. Duffy’s face is plated adorably on top, almost too cute to eat. The rice underneath appears to be butter rice, and the face part is made from mochi.
As for the all-important flavor — I honestly couldn’t picture what it would taste like just from the name, but it turned out to be even better than I expected. Imagine hashed beef (hayashi rice) and keema curry split down the middle: the mellow richness of hashed beef and the spicy edge of keema curry come together in beautiful balance. The beef and vegetables have been simmered long and slow, concentrating all the umami. From what I could see, the ingredients included meat, zucchini, and bell pepper. I also picked up a hint of scallop flavor, so it’s possible they’re using some seafood-based stock as well. In any case, it was a totally novel flavor I’d never had before — so good I wanted to order seconds.

The Seafood Tomato Cream Rice that comes with the other special set (Seafood) is also excellent, and definitely worth trying. I cover that in detail in the article below, so please take a look if you’re curious.

Placemat
The set comes with a paper placemat featuring the main illustration for the “Duffy & Friends: Wonderful Kitchen” event. It’s really cute, and the fact that you get to take it home as a keepsake feels like a nice bonus.
At Tokyo DisneySea, you can do greetings with Duffy and ShellieMay — and for this event, with LinaBell and CookieAnn as well — so getting them to sign your placemat is also a fun idea.

Coaster
The coaster that comes with the set is handed out at random, and the one I got this time was “Gelatoni.” This is also yours to keep, so between the placemat and the coaster, the set feels even more like a good deal. Since which character you get is up to chance, it’s the kind of item that tickles the collector’s spirit.

How to Get the Duffy Special Set (Beef)
To try the “Duffy Special Set (Beef),” you’ll need to head to “Miguel’s El Dorado Cantina” in the Lost River Delta area of Tokyo DisneySea. Note that during the event period, this restaurant requires mobile ordering, so keep that in mind. If you’re set on getting it, placing a mobile order right after entering the park should make things go smoothly.

Wrap-up
How was it? The “Duffy Special Set (Beef)” delivers not only on cute looks but on flavor as well — it’s a thoroughly satisfying dish. The beef keema stew rice in particular has a taste unlike anything I’d had before, and it’s so good I really want you to try it! On top of that, the take-home placemat and coaster make for a lovely souvenir of your day in the park, so it gets my full recommendation. When you visit Tokyo DisneySea, definitely give it a try.
