Minnie’s Funderland Buffet — Dessert Lineup

Strawberry & Mascarpone Mousse

It’s not an exaggeration to call this the headliner of the buffet.

A heart-shaped cake in the event’s signature pink. The center is topped with a sugar-art Minnie figure — when it’s fully set up, the visual impact is unbeatable.

That said, the Minnie figure is in high demand — once a Cast Member brings one out, it disappears almost instantly. I got lucky and managed to catch it during a swap-out and snap a photo.

For the flavor: it’s strawberry and mascarpone mousse, but with a citrus jelly tucked in the center — much more refreshing than you’d expect from the look.

White Chocolate Mousse

The purple heart on top is the standout detail. A white chocolate mousse sits on a cookie base.

The white chocolate flavor comes through strong, so the sweetness is pretty pronounced. The crisp cookie base gives a satisfying textural contrast, which makes it work.

Sakura Mont Blanc

A glass dessert, layered top-to-bottom with chocolate, sakura-flavored whipped cream, fresh cream, strawberry, and sponge cake. Unlike a traditional Mont Blanc with its slightly gritty texture, the sakura whipped cream here is silky-smooth. The sakura flavor is clearly there — perfect for a springtime menu.

Strawberries kick in some tartness in the back half, which makes a great accent — really tasty.

Black Tea Roll Cake

A roll cake made from black-tea-flavored whipped cream and a sponge cake studded with tea leaves. The tea flavor in the cream is bold — feels like a grown-up dessert. As a small, easy-eating bite, it’s a great fit for a buffet.

Grapefruit Jelly

Grapefruit pulp is mixed in, so it’s pure, unmistakable grapefruit. The classic grapefruit bitterness is there too — proceed with caution if you’re not a fan, but for grapefruit lovers it’s a treat.

It’s seriously refreshing, so it’s easy to enjoy even when you’re full. Some glasses come with a heart-shaped chocolate on top.

Crème Caramel

A Sherwood Garden Restaurant staple. The defining trait: it’s so silky-smooth it’s almost drinkable. A must-eat dessert whenever you’re at Sherwood Garden.

That said, it’s pretty sweet, so timing matters. Personally I find it tough to take down when I’m already full, so I aim for after I’ve worked through the main menu.

Annin Tofu (Almond Jelly)

An almond jelly with fruit. Annin tofu styles range from almond-forward to milky-forward, and this one leans milky. So if you usually find annin too almondy — or you’re making one for the kids — this version should work easily. It’s refreshing enough that you can slip it in even when you’re full.

Strawberry Shortcake

Another standard on the dessert menu — but this round it’s decorated with the event logo on top. The cake itself is a classic shortcake with light sponge and not-too-sweet cream — easy to keep eating.

Fondant au Chocolat (Counter Menu)

Carried over from last year’s Christmas event. The chocolate on top has been switched from a holly leaf to a polka-dot ribbon to match this round.

Served with vanilla ice cream and a berry sauce. The cake is warm, and when you cut into it the chocolate sauce inside oozes out. The chocolate sweetness and the berry tartness pair beautifully — this is a must-eat menu item.

One caveat: it’s very sweet, so it can be tough to handle when you’re full. I recommend grabbing it while you still have stomach room to spare.

Crêpe Suzette (Counter Menu)

Crêpe Suzette lives on the same counter menu as the Fondant au Chocolat. The crêpe is shaped like Mickey — adorable. It’s served warm. Take a bite and the orange flavor of the sauce comes through strong — really tasty.

“Minnie’s Funderland” Buffet — Special Drink

Special Drink — Quick Info

Product: Disney Pal-Palooza “Minnie’s Funderland” Special Drink
Price: ¥1,600
Includes: Lactic-acid drink (Calpis-style base), apple juice, peach syrup, strawberry syrup, strawberry purée, soda, whipped cream, chocolate, color powder

Minnie's Funderland Special Drink

The Special Drink is ordered separately from the buffet, at an additional cost.

The pink gradient is gorgeous, with a heart-shaped chocolate on top. Taking a sip, it tastes like apple, peach, and strawberry juices blended together, cut with Calpis. There’s whipped cream on top, but it’s not overly sweet — actually pretty refreshing, which makes it a nice palate-cleansing drink between courses.

There’s soda in there too, but the carbonation is so mild it’s barely noticeable, so younger kids can handle it. Our 4-year-old daughter is relatively sensitive to carbonation but had no trouble with this one.

Final Thoughts

So that was a look at the Disney Pal-Palooza “Minnie’s Funderland” Buffet — desserts and Special Drink — at Sherwood Garden Restaurant inside Tokyo Disneyland Hotel.

Every item on the menu is cute enough to make you want to try them all, and they all taste excellent. My personal picks: the Strawberry & Mascarpone Mousse and the Fondant au Chocolat. Definitely worth trying.

The Special Drink costs extra, but it’s adorable and refreshing — a great pick as your in-meal drink. Add it on if you’re up for it!
