This round of the limited-edition cake set features a Minnie design to tie in with the park event, Disney Pal-Palooza “Minnie’s Funderland,” at Tokyo Disneyland.
Minnie’s Funderland Cake Set — A Closer Look
Here’s a closer look at the cake.
It’s a fancy two-tier cake. The bottom tier features Minnie’s signature polka-dot pattern, and the top tier is decorated with a pale-blue frill and a pink ribbon. The pink-and-pale-blue palette matches the Minnie’s Funderland event — really cute.

As mentioned, the cake is the “Cherry & Cheese Cake.”
The white frill decoration is buttercream, and the pale-blue frill with the chocolate ribbon is meringue. Around the cake are strawberry, orange, and red currant garnishes plus raspberry powder. The Minnie-print element on the top is sugar art.
The bottom tier is a roll cake — the polka-dot section is sponge cake, with a cherry mousse and whole cherries rolled inside. The top tier is a fromage (cream cheese) mousse with dark sweet cherries folded in.

Taste Test
Two Mousses — One Rich, One Bright
This cake centers on two mousses: a fromage mousse and a cherry mousse.
The fromage mousse on top delivers a rich, distinctly cheesy flavor — really tasty. The texture is light, so the flavor reads rich without feeling heavy, and you can keep going easily. Eating it together with the dark sweet cherries folded in adds sweet-tart cherry brightness for a layered, different take.
The cherry mousse on the bottom comes in a cute pink shade. Bite in and it’s a clear cherry flavor. I went in expecting more of a generic “berry” note, but it’s distinctly cherry-forward.
Eating the fromage and cherry mousses together, the fromage flavor takes the lead. Both layers together are tasty, but personally I enjoyed them more when eaten separately — it lets each flavor shine.
Loaded with Cherries
You can see it in the cross-section photos — both the roll cake on the bottom and the fromage mousse on top are loaded with whole cherries. The fromage mousse had one cherry; the cherry mousse below seemed to have two or three. Those cherries make the whole thing juicy and delicious.
The cherry flavor itself isn’t very tart — it leans toward a fully ripe, sweet-cherry note.
Toppings That Switch Up the Flavor and Texture
The toppings around the cake also do real work, layering in flavor and texture variation.
First, the fruit garnishes — orange, strawberry, and red currant. All three lean tart, which adds bright acidity to balance out this otherwise low-acid cake.
Then there’s the meringue lace and the ball-shaped chocolate, which add texture contrast. The meringue lace is light and crisp; the ball chocolate gives a little crunchy pop. Both play nicely against the airy mousse.
The play-by-play: alternate between the main mousse layers and a topping here and there. That way you get the flavor and texture variation along the way.
Final Thoughts
So that was a look at the Disney Pal-Palooza “Minnie’s Funderland” Cake Set — “Cherry & Cheese Cake” — at Hyperion Lounge inside Disney Ambassador Hotel.
The pink, distinctly Minnie design is fun to look at, and the cake itself delivers: whole cherries throughout, plus two distinct mousse flavors that each stand on their own. It’s a must-try for any Minnie fan.
The limited-edition cake set runs through March 8, 2026 — if it’s caught your eye, definitely book a Priority Seating slot and go check it out!
